Toronto Condos

Are you thinking about selling your piece of Boise Idaho real estate and relocating to Toronto? Maybe you are interested in purchasing a second home, for vacation or even secondary income purposes, in one of the cleanest and most cosmopolitan cities in North America. Either way, taking a look at what the Toronto condo market has to offer is well worth your while.

Make no mistake, the market for condominiums in Toronto is booming, and it has been for some time. However, even those familiar with the Toronto condo market over the last ten years could not possibly have realized what was in store during the summer of 2009.

Apparently, eager Toronto area buyers interested in condo purchases were not told that there is a real estate depression on in most areas of the continent. The spring and summer of 2009 saw sales of Toronto condos and lofts take an incredible jump over last year's numbers; 27%, to be exact!

By far, the most desirable of condo locations in Toronto when measured by sales appeal are those located in the downtown area. New and resale condos in downtown Toronto were selling at a 40% increase over last year's number, another figure which shocked even seasoned real estate professionals.

The long and short of this condo buying boom in the city is that prices are destined to go up, as condos just don't seem to stay on the market. The average time of a condo on the market so far in 2009 has been a mere 15 days, and that stretches across all condos in the spectrum, from a Toronto luxury condo sale to bachelor suites.

Speaking of condo styles, you may be interested in just what is available on the Toronto market. Keep in mind that this is a city with over two million residents in the urban area alone. That means there is a lot of people packed into a smaller area, and that means you will find a huge variety of condos available.

There are the aforementioned luxury condos. New buildings tend to boast some of the most well appointed units the world has ever seen, some with views of the Toronto water front and some with views of the downtown, including nearby parks and historic landmarks. There are converted loft buildings for those looking for some extra space, and many complexes have been built as neighbohoods unto themselves. It's definitely a market where even the most discriminating Boise resident will find something to fit their tastes.

Before concluding, it is important to mention something about the market as far as a condominium for rent in Toronto is concerned. Numbers tell us that the condo rental market in the city is just as hot as the sales market. Rental prices continue to trend upwards, with many being snapped up within half a month. Most styles are readily available, although those with families looking for rental units with three bedrooms are in for a tough and expensive search.
